Quiet contentment: a photo-heart connection post

It’s time for another Photo-Heart Connection! Haven’t done it before? You can learn more about how to find your Photo-Heart Connection here.  Kat talks about “making a commitment to connect art with heart” and invites anyone and everyone to add photography or artwork to the monthly connections.

Floating bees sipping from springtime blooms

The sound of water returning to itself

Yellow flowers peeking through stone

Heart-shaped leaves dancing with the breeze

Softly melodic bird chit-chat

An airplane’s deep engine overhead

Reflections of light bounding from glass windchimes

Uneven blades of stretching grass

Castles of clouds drifting overhead

Sweet feline nap time

I’m wrapped in an ever-changing peaceful energy of life unfolding around me.

Wonderful image and poem! We need to learn to slow down and just absorb all the beauty that surrounds us.

Honestly, it’s only when I consciously slow down that I DO enjoy those things. 🙂 Thank you for visiting!

I love the poem…the perfect one to start the (almost summer) weather…you are so talented in so many ways…and just full of energy…you remind me of me when I was your age…LOL

I laughed out loud at that, cheryl. I feel I have far to go in calming down to what lays dormant underneath the craziness. It’s far easier to go go go and much more of a challenge to be still and be with what’s within.

“Less doing; more being” is a slogan I could happily adopt. And I love the phrase “sweet feline nap time”! Beautiful blue flowers and a lovely Photo-Heart Connection.

  8. Lovely poetry and photography, both! Right now I feel like I don’t have time to sit, relax and reflect, but somehow I need to make time.

    • Naomi says:

I felt that way yesterday, and I slowly unravelled each task, delegating and thinking up ways to take them off my list. I am trying to simplify so that I CAN just sit for a while. Today, I feel spaciousness.
