I just came across the lyrics to this song in an old journal and I thought about posting them here, but wouldn’t the actual song be better? I used to sing this (loudly) in my car. Enjoy!

Written by Randy Newman. Sung here by Chantal Kreviazuk.
(If you’re wondering how you may know this one, she recorded it for the Dawson’s Creek soundtrack in 1999 as well as “How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days.”)
i particularly like the version of this song that bonnie raitt does. (didn’t know it was written by RN–he and i don’t get along.) arch and i were just trying to think of songs that have “home” in the title or are about homes/houses. our list was pretty short, but here’s what we came up with:
–our house–CSNY
–homeward bound–simon and garfunkel
–home–sheryl crow
–welcome home–til tuesday
–better be home soon–crowded house
–sunny came home–shawn colvin
–she’s leaving home–the beatles
any others?
How about You’re My Home – Billy Joel, Sweet Home Alabama, My Hometown – Bruce Springstein.
good ones! speaking of home, what’s the skinny on your move?
