… reading in bed, candles, diving into a new project, learning something new, crisp crunchy leaves underfoot, hearing my daughter laugh, starting a new book, finishing a book, organizing, floating on my back in the pool and staring at the sky, writing, craft supplies, photography, poetry, a good massage, knowing smiles, singing along to the radio, getting things done, comfy bedding, hot chocolate, paying attention to the details, libraries and bookstores, campfires, astronomy, finding beauty in the everyday, impromptu road trips, quiet, journaling, learning about myself, waking up and reading in bed (preferably with coffee), home, interesting flowers, affection, Sleepytime tea, capturing a moment in time with my camera, true laughter, soft rain.
Yesterday morning was rainy… with dreamy lighting coming from our kitchen window. It was the perfect opportunity to experiment with the back lighting prompt in Kim’s Be Still class. I applied her kk_enlightened texture at 70% soft light. (It was my daughter who noticed the heart shape.)
great photo. I follow Kim’s blog, she has wonderful textures! you image is wonderful, and I agree, it is in appreciating the details that life gets better!

Very nice! I think it’s great your daughter gets to express her own creative side, with help from you. I agree that really appreciating life requires that we pay attention to the details. The world’s greatest consulting detective held forth on that subject, as I recall. Paying attention to detail is an important work-life skill too, especially when you deal with computers, who have no sense of proportion.
That’s true! Really, it is in the small things that most subtle shifts happen for me.
