First scrapbook convention (aka pure goodness)

program introOh how I’ve been wanting to tell you about this! I got to attend my first ever scrapbook supply extravaganza! I didn’t take any classes… just wanted to look at all the goodies and see what was there.  scrapbook hotel

Having only attended baseball card shows when I was a kid, I was not prepared for the beautiful site that hit me right as I walked into the room.  Booths as far as the eye could see.  I was shocked and giddy.scrapbook hall

How cute is this sign? Lots of booths were doing demonstrations of their products.  I don’t have a Sizzix machine, but I love all the things you can do with it.cheaper than therapyscrapbook supplies convention bag

I’d never seen this many brads in one place! They are so cute for cards.BRADS

Here’s what I brought home…my new goodies

The other thing is a ScrapRack.  I know I had never heard of it, but Tiffany Spaulding, shown below, is the inventor and runs the company.  It’s an entire system for storing absolutely everything you own to craft with! I am in the process of sorting my stickers, stamps, and papers into categories so they can all be in one place in this system.  You KNOW I’ll be telling you all about it soon.  🙂scraprack

Oh…I do understand your feelings of being “shocked and giddy”!! I am a scrapbooker and I am a collector of all things scrapbooking! My family sometimes suggests I have more in my collection than in actual albums. Noooooo!! So glad you had this exciting time, Naomi!

Oh, what fun! I should watch for one of those to come to Minneapolis. I am sure that they do. That would be one sort of conference that I would just LOVE to attend!

Naomi this looks like such a fun day for you…I don’t do scrape booking but I do knit and have gone to knitting conventions and I also love all the yarn and gadgets they sell at the books. Sometimes it does the soul good just to get out there…
I’m guessing you came home with lots of good ideas running around in your head…
