Both images were shot with my Canon 50mm compact macro. I added a colorful bokeh texture to the second and even masked off the flowers in Photoshop but it didn’t look nearly as fun, so I left it on the entire image.
The bokeh does make it fun. We will have lots of tulips in a couple of months. Holland – home of the Tulip Festival

The bokeh texture does add wonderful light… and the quote in the first… is perfect… a miracle gift for a Monday where we once again have 2 feet of snow!
ah…early morning writing… chuckle… often leads to fingers tapping the wrong keys… too bad I can’t edit after the fact… does add…. and quote of course.. grin.. sentiment is though is still the same

So beautiful, Naomi! I love that quote. Flowers really are pieces of art, aren’t they? I have to say that I love planting flowers in my garden. I prefer them to planting food because I just love the beauty of them.
